Jeff Brown from The Biz Foundry will be leading this session on how to make your idea come to life. Business Model Canvas is a great tool for you to learn if your idea or product is viable, how to identify your customers, find any issues, and give yourself and your team the best chance for success and the $10,000 grand prize!

The Eagle Works judging rubric is based off Business Model Canvas, so if you’re thinking about competing, this workshop is essential!

This semester, we are reading Know My Name by Chanel Miller, an immersive memoir of Miller’s highly publicized sexual assault by Stanford University swimmer Brock Turner, the high-profile court case, and its aftermath. Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, Feb. 16, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Purple Career Readiness Workshop. Mr. Eric Hyche, Tech Alumnus and Senior iOS Engineer at Noom, Inc., will be navigating through the expectations that employers hold when conducting virtual interviews with potential candidates.

This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

To attend virtually, access the TEAMS link in Handshake Events. To receive credit for attending, you must log in with your Tennessee Tech email, participate if asked to during the workshop and be present for at least 80% of the presentation.

Tennessee Tech University supports survivors and does not tolerate any forms of power-based violence! Join us in celebrating One Billion Rising. Artistic submissions are due Saturday, Feb 13. Every submission wins a prize!!

One Billion Rising is the biggest global campaign to end violence against women. This year, the event is adapted to be a week-long event that everyone can participate in from home! To participate, submit any form of artistic expression (such as a painting, drawing, poetry, or video) related to OBR, rising, healing, or support for survivors. Submissions can be sent to awaken@tntech.edu (a picture of the submission is fine!).

Join us today for a FREE guided meditation on the topic of Rising. Led by Deanna Lack, the lay minister at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Cookeville, the meditation will be held via zoom TODAY, Thursday, February 11th at 10 A.M.
