    Eagle Works Elevator Pitch workshop!

    Do you get nervous when you have to make presentations? Are you never sure how to start? Do you just want to improve the skills you have? This workshop will help you prepare for the Idea Challenge on Nov. 10 (more details on the Eagle Works website!), and teach skills that will be useful in class and career! Being able to give a short elevator pitch about yourself or your idea could make a difference in your future!

    This workshop will be on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. in the iMakerspace. The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange.

    On October 29th, Lambda GSA is putting on Drag-0-Ween from 9:30PM-11:30 PM in Centennial Plaza. It is a free Halloween Drag Show with complimentary candy. Costumes are encouraged for anyone attending and if you are able, bring ones in order to tip the performers. You won’t want to miss this event!

    Co-op Meetup #4 on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. via Teams

    Are you interested in Co-op? If so, then this virtual Co-op Meetup on Tuesday, Oct. 26, via Microsoft Teams at 11 a.m. is your last chance. The Teams link can be accessed by going to this event’s Handshake page, which is linked below. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup.

    The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students.  Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step!  The new eligibility guidelines can be found at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/coop-eligibility.php.

    To receive credit, you most log on with Tech credentials, have your camera on, and have your camera on during the entire session.

    Question Persuade Refer Gatekeeper Training

    Please join Dr. Christina Mick from the counseling center for Question, Persuade, Refer Gatekeeper training for suicide prevention. QPR is intended to teach individuals on how to recognized warning signs of suicide and use the QPR framework to assist those individuals in getting appropriate help.
