    Join Peer Empowerment Program (PEP) for a yoga session at Synergy!

    You may choose between 2 dates: 11/8 at 5pm or 11/10 at 8pm.

    Win $1000 at the Eagle Works Idea Challenge!

    This is your last chance to sign up for the Eagle Works Idea Challenge! Register by Friday, Nov. 5 for your chance at a piece of $1,500 in prizes. Join us (virtually!) on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. to pitch your best creative, innovative idea that would help solve a problem!

    Who: All students, all programs, across campus!

    What: Come up with an idea for a product, business, service, etc. Give a 90 second pitch to our panel of judges and compete for $1,500 in prizes!

    Why: Creative problem solving, gain confidence, share an idea, win prizes, and have fun!

    When: Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.

    Where: Wherever you are! This year’s challenge is virtual!

    Students can compete alone or in teams, and will have 90 seconds to pitch their idea – no PowerPoint, no Q&A. Your idea doesn’t need to be fully thought out, but it should be feasible and solve a problem. Get creative and think big!

    Virtual pitch practices are Wednesday, Nov. 3 and Monday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.

    Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, Nov. 2, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Purple Career Readiness Workshop! Scott Christen, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Communication Studies, will be showing the best ways to effectively communicate your message through a successful presentation.

     

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

    Come and speak French at conversation hour

    Come and practice your French on Monday, November 1, from 6-7 pm at Au Bon Pain in the library.  Organized and run by students, French Conversation Hour is open to all speakers of French, regardless of level, and uses games and activities to help everyone get involved.  The atmosphere is fun, laid-back, and designed to help you feel as comfortable as possible speaking French.

  • RHA Annual Fall Fun Fest

    RHA Annual Fall Fun Fest

    Join the Residence Hall Association for our annual Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, October 30th on the Main Quad.  We will have food, games, pumpkin painting, screen printing, a haunted house, a truck-or-treat, and more.  The Trunk-or-Treat will be held from 5-7pm, the haunted house will be from 8-11pm, and everything else will be held from 5-8pm.  This is open and free to all residents and the community and appropriate costumes are encouraged!  Please bring your own shirt to screenprint!  We will be hosting a canned food drive at the haunted house for the Tech Food Pantry!

    The trunk-or-treat will begin set up at 4:00pm and start at 5:00pm in the Crawford Parking Lot.  The trunk-or-treat will be open to the public and we encourage inviting Putnam County residents to attend this event.  This year our theme will be Disney/Pixar.  We ask that each organization that wants to attend the event, propose a kid-friendly theme within this category and fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/r/pYYFewgKts .
