    Stand Up Comedian Corey Rodrigues to Perform on Campus

    Get ready to laugh when stand up comedian Corey Rodrigues performs live on Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. in Derryberry Auditorium! Corey was the winner of The Catch a New Rising Star, The Funniest Comic in New England and the Big Sky Comedy Festivals. He has been featured on Gotham Live, Laughs on Fox, and Laff Tracks television shows. In 2018 he released his Dry-Bar comedy special that has amassed over 40 million view world wide! He made his national debut on The Conan O’Brein Show in 2019 and in 2020 Rodrigues released his first half  hour comedy special on EPIX. Corey can currently be heard daily on Sirius XM. The show is presented by the Student Government Association SOLO fund.

    2022-2023 Wilma Carr Scholarship Reminder

    Wilma Carr scholarship applications are being accepted for the 2021-2022 award year through Dec. 15. Qualified applicants are current students who are survivors of domestic violence, “child abuse or other unfortunate situation” and are in good standing with the university.     Survivor Africa Winner Ethan Zohn to Speak On Campus

    Join us on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 p.m. in Derryberry Auditorium in welcoming Survivor Africa winner Ethan Zohn. Ethan is a former  contestant on the CBS hit shows The Amazing Race and Survivor, winning Survivor Africa and playing Survivor All Stars and Survivor Winners at War.  Ethan will be inspiring students and the campus community with a discussion on his experiences as not only a winner of one million dollars, but as a cancer survivor and his charitable work. His presentation on “Surviving the Amazing Race of Your College Experience” will challenge students to use their time in the college to make a valuable contribution to their personal development and the community around them. He will encourage students to approach obstacles as opportunities for growth and to create a lasting legacy on campus through authentic relationships, leading by example and serving others. This event is sponsored by the Student Government Association SOLO fund.

    iMakerSpace Open House + Pancakes

    Come visit the iMakerSpace in Volpe Library 348 from 11am to 12pm on November 18th to enjoy some pancakes and see some of the cool things the iMakerSpace has to offer! You will be able to design and “print” your own pancakes via the PancakeBots in the space! In addition to 3D printing pancakes, we will have open demonstrations of 3D scanning objects for 3D printing and laser cutting keychains with our GlowForge Pro.

    Monday, Nov. 15, is the FINAL DAY to submit your Career Readiness Application for the Fall 2021 semester. All materials for Gold and Purple Career Readiness Applications must be turned in-person to the Center for Career Development (RUC 328), via email to career@tntech.edu, or online at https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/career-ready.php by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15.  

    Substitutions or late submissions will not be accepted.
