    Employees can present their Eagle Card/ID Card at the Athletics Ticket Office in the Eblen Center on or before September 9 to pick up their tickets. The Athletics Ticket Office is open 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

    On September 10 (game day), employees can present their Eagle Card/ID at any Tucker Stadium ticket booth to get tickets. Each employee will be permitted to get the number of complimentary tickets in their immediate family.

    MBA Student Accepts Graduate Assistant Position with Rural Reimagined

    Rural Reimagined (RR) is excited to announce and welcome its newest graduate assistant, Ellie Buckner, for the Fall 2022 semester. Ellie is a TN Tech graduate student pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). She previously worked with Rural Reimagined as an academic intern and recently accepted a Graduate Assistantship (GA) position. She will help lead the Rural Reimagined communicative efforts and manage the Professional and Technical Communication (PTC) interns. Regarding her internship, Ellie says, “I am in a unique position in which I can help people from all different walks of life grow their businesses. Being born and raised in Cookeville, the businesses, the community, and the people here have a special place in my heart. I am thankful to have the opportunity to continue this work with Rural Reimagined in a new capacity.” Thank you, Ellie, for all your hard work! Wings up!

    Join the Women’s Center for our first book club meeting of the semester from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, Sep 6th, in the Women’s Center office (RUC 339). Dr. Erin Hoover, professor in the English Department’s Creative Writing program, is leading a special series of women’s poetry for our book club this semester. We’ll start with The Hurting Kind by Ada Limón, who is the current national poet laureate and will visit campus for a reading and writing workshop later this month. Haven’t read it yet? That’s ok!     TENN TECH’S ROTC PROGRAM HOSTS 9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB

    Tennessee Tech’s ROTC program is holding a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to honor first responders and those that lost their lives on that day. The climb will take place in Tucker Stadium on September 10, 2022. The gates will open at 8:00 a.m. for new participant registration, and at 8:46 a.m., the stair climb will commence. Participants are encouraged to walk the stairs without weight or join the members of Tech’s ROTC Golden Eagle Battalion, who will complete the stair climb wearing 35-pound backpacks.
