Spring Break Family Craft Studio at the Craft Center!
Join the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville on Wednesday, March 18th from 9am to 3pm for a special Family Craft Studio session during Spring Break! 28th Annual Celebration of Craft
The Appalachian Center for Craft invites everyone to attend the Celebration of Craft, our biggest event of the year! Celebration is free and open to the public from 10am – 5pm on Saturday, April 11th, with demonstrations in glass, blacksmithing, clay, wood, and fibers studios. Kaleidoscope: A Music and Theatre Showcase
On Sunday, March 8th, the School of Music and Theatre Program will present Kaleidoscope: A Music and Theatre Showcase. This event will be hosted at Red Silo Brewing from 1-4pm and gives students a chance to show off their talents while also fundraising for the School of Music and Theatre program. With two stages, 10-minute sets will alternate over the course of three hours, highlighting a wide variety of ensembles, genres, and art forms. Proceeds from the event will support student scholarships, student travel, and the purchase and repair of musical instruments, equipment, and tools. Tickets are $35 per person and include lunch, beer and wine, and student performances. Hope you can join us for an afternoon of fun and entertainment!

Monday Night Clay Handbuilding at the Craft Center
From April 6 to May 11, 6-8pm, learn traditional methods like pinching, coil, and slab to build functional and/or sculptural work. Handbuilding is very versatile, and the techniques can be used to make highly individualized work. The skills learned are perfect for an absolute beginner to clay.
