    Art Professor Exhibits in International Exhibition

    School of Art, Craft & Design Professor of glass, Damon MacNaught, has work accepted into the international juried contemporary fine craft exhibition, Craft Forms 2024 at the Wayne Arts Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania, December 7th, 2024-January 25th, 2025.  MacNaught’s glass work “Art of Science” will be on exhibit alongside  works in all mediums created by 101 artists from around the world.

    Student Art Exhibition at Local Business

    November 18 – December 1, 2024, the Silver Fern on Spring St. will be exhibiting, Make.Do.3., a group exhibition by TN Tech students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in the School of Art, Craft & Design. The artwork will be displayed in the Fiddlehead Room Gallery. The show opens on Friday, November 22nd with a reception open to the public at 5 p.m.

    Make.Do.3., showcases student’s work from a variety of craft, including wood, ceramic, glass, metals, and painting. The exhibition showcases the full range of Tennessee Tech students’ talents, from blown glass to fine wood furniture.

    Holiday Festival Woodturning Workshop at ACC

    Learn the basics of woodturning in this upcoming Holiday Festival workshop! Whether you’re new to woodturning, or looking for a fun project to refresh your skills, this workshop is for you! We will cover the fundamentals of woodturning, from lathe safety and proper turning technique to shaping, sanding and finishing. Participants will start by practicing basic spindle turning and will then move on to designing and creating their own functional bottle openers, from start to finish.
