The Degree Works degree audit system is now available for graduate students. Degree Works has been available at the undergraduate level for several years and fulfills graduate student Financial Aid compliance requirements issued by the Federal Government (CPOS).

The Center for Assessment & Improvement of Learning (CAIL) and the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CITL) are excited to offer a critical-thinking and real-world problem-solving workshop at Tennessee Tech University July 22nd & 23rd to kick-off our Authentic Assessment Academic Learning Community (ALC). This 2 half-day virtual workshop is based around the Critical-thinking Assessment Test (CAT). The CAT was developed at TNTech with support from the National Science Foundation and is used across the country to support institutional assessment and academic research. During the first half-day workshop, we will introduce the CAT and take a look at the test and see how our TNTech students respond to critical-thinking questions. On the second half-day workshop, we will introduce critical-thinking frameworks used in the CAT, practice the development of interdisciplinary critical-thinking activities, and brainstorm/develop content specific critical-thinking activities (CAT Apps) for your courses.

The Crawford Alumni Center is seeking a Graduate Support Assistant to assist with printed and digital engagement and social media. There are opportunities in the position to write articles and emails for alumni and donors or make graphics and edit videos for social media. No matter what your concentration is, there will be opportunities to gain new skills and great experience for your resume. Annually the College of Education recognizes outstanding members of their faculty, students, and staff during a reception usually scheduled for National Teacher Appreciation Day. This year’s awards have been presented virtually.

Charles Craig received the Outstanding Advisor Award and Kathy Falkner in Curriculum & Instruction, the Outstanding Staff Award.

The Tennessee Education Association advocates for K-12 and higher education public school educators. If you are not a member, you can join now through the NEA Early Enrollment Program. It began April 1.

If this person needs to join for the remainder of this membership year with full benefits, including legal services, they would need to complete the form I am attaching using the following dues:
NEA – $81.67
TEA – $123.54
These are prorated dues as of the month of April.
If this person has never been a member before, they will qualify for the New Teacher Rebate program.
