  • ATTENTION GRADUATE STUDENTS: Graduation Application Deadline

    In addition to satisfying all degree requirements, a candidate for a degree must file an Application for Graduation at the beginning of the semester in which the degree is expected to be conferred.

    The last date for the filing of the application  for fall 2020 graduation is September 7, 2020.  Fall 2020 Graduation Application

    A graduate student shall be enrolled during the term in which the degree is awarded. If a student applies for graduation but fails to satisfy graduation requirements, the student must reapply.

    $600 STEM Stipend for Science Olympiad Program

    Don’t miss out on this great year-long program with a focus on professional development and K-12 outreach. The program will recruit 20 undergraduate students who  will gain skills that positively impact both their academic success and the communities they serve while working towards the goal of coordinating next year’s Regional Science Olympiad. Participants will receive a $600 stipend for their participation in this year-long program.

    Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets, consisting of a series of  team events. By combining events from all disciplines, Science Olympiad encourages a wide cross-section of students to get involved.

    The Degree Works degree audit system is now available for graduate students.  Degree Works has been available at the undergraduate level for several years and fulfills graduate student Financial Aid compliance requirements issued by the Federal Government (CPOS).

  • CAT Virtual Training Workshop

    The Center for Assessment & Improvement of Learning (CAIL) and the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CITL) are excited to offer a critical-thinking and real-world problem-solving workshop at Tennessee Tech University July 22nd & 23rd  to kick-off our Authentic Assessment Academic Learning Community (ALC). This 2 half-day virtual workshop is based around the Critical-thinking Assessment Test (CAT). The CAT was developed at TNTech with support from the National Science Foundation and is used across the country to support institutional assessment and academic research. During the first half-day workshop, we will introduce the CAT and take a look at the test and see how our TNTech students respond to critical-thinking questions. On the second half-day workshop, we will introduce critical-thinking frameworks used in the CAT, practice the development of interdisciplinary critical-thinking activities, and brainstorm/develop content specific critical-thinking activities (CAT Apps) for your courses.

Winners include: Cindy Gates, Outstanding Staff Award; Dr. Stuart Wells, Kinslow Award for Excellence in Teaching; Dr. Mark Melichar, Jordan-Wagner Award for Excellence in Research; Dr. Christine Miller, Lifetime Achievement Award; Dr. Susan Wells, Excellence in Service Award; and Dr. Curtis Armstrong, Excellence in Overall Performance Award.  The awards established in 1975 by the College of Business Administration Foundation, now recognized as the College of Business Advisory Board, recognize outstanding contributions to business education by the faculty and staff of the College of Business at Tennessee Tech University.
