  • IPS Scholarship Info Session Female Grad Students

    Scholarship information session for international women graduate students.

    The IPS scholarship is awarded to full-time women graduate students from international countries except Canada who plan to return to their home country working and applying their knowledge to improve the life of others in their country.   P.E.O.  believe that education is fundamental to world peace and understanding.

    The scholarship is based upon demonstrated need; however, the award is not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses.  An annual award may be up to $12,500 per year.  Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs.  For additional information and the application see https://www.peointernational.org/

    An informational session will be held for interested women students on Tuesday, September 28 in Clement Hall room 212.

  • WEST Open for the Fall

    The Writing Excellence Studio at Tech (WEST) is open for the semester! We provide one-on-one writing consultation for upper-level undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty, regardless of what field or writing you’re working on. We can work with you on things like clarity, cohesion, logical progression, or just making sure you’re doing what the assignment asks you to do in the most effective way possible. And we’re happy to work with you at any stage of the writing process. Regardless of your skill level, we’re here to help you feel more confident in your writing abilities. We have in-person hours in Henderson Hall 204B, or online appointments available.     Greetings from the Graduate College!
    If you are planning to graduate in spring 2022, you will need to complete the graduation application ASAP.  The deadline date has been extended to September 8th, 2021. If you are an August graduate, I encourage you to go ahead and apply now for summer 2022.

    Pi Sigma Alphas First Meeting

    Pi Sigma Alpha’s first meeting will take place in Matthews Daniel in room 205 on September 2nd from 11-12 pm!

     

  • Lab Kits

    IEEE will be selling lab kits at our office in Brown 234 for the following classes: ECE 2011/3060 (EE lab 1 & EE lab2) for $70.00 , ECE 3160 (digital systems lab) for $30.00, CSC 1300 (Intro. to Computer Programming) for $15.00. We will only be accepting card payments at this time. The hours are 9am-5pm starting Aug 23 to Sept 1.

    IEEE Meetings will be Mondays 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the iMakerSpace. IEEE is a great way to meet like minded students passionate about Engineering, and we encourage anyone interested to join. In addition to being lots of fun, IEEE can help further your career during and after college.

    Are you on academic probation?  Do you have questions about what to do next or how to get back on track?  Come to the Launchpad Student Success Center Tent on Centennial Plaza this Wednesday for our inaugural Tent Topics Q&A.  Ask an academic advisor any questions you may have regarding academic probation and how to return to good standing.  We will be available for questions from 10:30am-11:30am on Wednesday, August 25th, on the northwest side of Centennial Plaza.  Come see us!
