    This is an opportunity to share your ideas for the future direction and vision of Tech’s general education curriculum. Let us know what skills and knowledge Tennessee Tech graduates should have to best prepare them for their intended careers and their future as informed citizens of the state, region, nation and world. We want to hear from you!

    Light refreshments will be provided.

    Please encourage students to attend the meetings held specifically for students. The next student town hall will be Oct. 4 at 2:30 p.m. in Henderson Hall 106B.

    Throughout the fall semester there will be 27 town hall meetings (14 for faculty, staff and administrators; 13 for students). A complete schedule of the town hall meetings is at https://www.tntech.edu/strategic/gen-ed-vision.php.

  • TN Leglislative Internship Informational Table UC Lobby Sept 26th 10am-2pm

    Are you interested in interning at the TN General Assembly in Nashville in the spring semester and earning academic credit? Come to the UC Lobby Tuesday September 26th 10am-2pm, meet program director Shirley Frierson and learn detailed information about the internship and how you can apply! Also, if you are thinking of applying, please email  lharding@tntech.edu, and I will walk you through the process and answer any questions you might have! Applications are due to lharding@tntech.edu by October 3rd.

    The Department of Foreign Languages will hold its annual Meet-&-Greet on Tuesday, September 26, during Dead Hour (11:00-12:00 PM) in the new Euro Café (HEND 003). If you would like to learn more about majoring or minoring in French, German, or Spanish here at Tech, be sure to drop by for FREE FOOD (pizza, cookies, drinks) and a chance to connect with current FL and IBAC majors and minors, as well as our faculty!     WEST Workshop: Brainstorming and Pre-Writing!

    Are you having trouble getting started on your midterm essay? Not sure how to turn your ideas into something coherent? Staring at a blank page for hours on end? WEST is here to help you! The Writing Excellence Studio at Tech will be hosting a workshop on dealing with brainstorming, and pre-writing. We will discuss strategies for organizing your ideas, for getting your thoughts down on paper, and ways to cope with the terrors of that empty white screen. Come join us during Dead Hour on Thursday, September 21, in Henderson Hall 304B. The workshop is open to all students, regardless of what stage you’re at in your writing. And if you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session with one of our consultants! For availability and scheduling, check out our website. We look forward to working with you!
