The Writing Excellence Studio at Tech will be hosting a workshop on dealing with brainstorming, and pre-writing. We will discuss strategies for organizing your ideas, for getting your thoughts down on paper, and ways to cope with the terrors of that empty white screen. Come join us during Dead Hour on Thursday, September 21, in Henderson Hall 304B. The workshop is open to all students, regardless of what stage you’re at in your writing. URECA Grant Applications
The URECA (Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity) Grant Program at Tennessee Tech provides financial support for undergraduates engaging in research and creative activities, as well as for those presenting their work at conferences. The program offers three categories of grants: Mini Grants, Team Grants, and Travel Grants. Both Mini Grants and Team Grants are designed to fund faculty-supported research and creative activities conducted by students during the academic year. Mini Grants are available for individual students and have a maximum limit of $1000. Team Grants are designated for groups of students collaborating on a shared project and have a maximum limit of $5000. Additionally, Travel Grants are accessible for undergraduate students who are presenting their research or creative activities at regional, state, national, or international conferences. The Fall 2023 application deadline for Mini Grants and Team Grants is Sept. 20 at 4:30 PM. Applications for Travel Grants are accepted on a rolling basis, and applications must be received no later than six weeks before travel is planned.
