Fourteen undergraduate psychology students traveled with Dr. Nicole Henniger and Dr. Matthew J. Zagumny to the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) Annual Convention in Denver February 20-22, 2025. The students presented their studies on topics including existentialism, aging anxiety, early life stress and perfectionism, jealousy, empathy, parental marital satisfaction, envy on social media, vicarious trauma, and caregivers’ use of self-defeating humor. Wondering What To Do With Your Prom Dress? Consider Donating It!
The SOLO Events Committee is seeking donations of gently used formalwear (i.e. suiting and gowns) for their Spring Masquerade Ball. Kenneth Clack, President of the SOLO Events Committee, describes the gala as “allowing students from all backgrounds to enjoy a night of celebration – boosting confidence and creating a sense of belonging.”

Third Annual Jessica A. Kelley Silent Auction
The Third Annual Jessica A. Kelley Silent Auction is coming March 26th and we are asking you to donate any items (tax deductible) for the auction. This event raises money for the Jessica A. Kelley Memorial Scholarship to benefit Psychology students. We currently have a wide variety of things and we are looking for more. This can include art, an item, or even a voucher for something like a lesson. WEST Workshop 3/4: Thinking About Writing
Do you find writing intimidating or struggle to find your own voice? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 3/4, we will lead a dead hour workshop on Thinking About Writing. We can talk about how to claim your own voice as a writer and how to demystify writing itself. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration required, and all are welcome. If you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session.
