On Thursday, 4/10, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on Formatting with MS Word. We can talk about basic strategies and shortcuts to maximize your efficiency. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration is required, and all are welcome. Michelle Huddleston Memorial Food Pantry Dedication
Join us on Tuesday, April 15, as we formally dedicate the Michelle Huddleston Memorial Food Pantry. Huddleston, who passed away on Oct. 21, 2023, served as associate director of residential life and service learning at Tech. A hallmark of her service to the university included her leadership overseeing the food pantry.
Join us in the Roaden University Center Tech Pride Room from 11 a.m. to noon as we remember Michelle Huddleston and name the place she loved so much in her honor. No registration is required.

We will show a biopic about the best female soccer player in France (Marinette Pichon). She also played in the USA and fought for women rights as professional athletes.

Chemistry Student Wins Poster Award at National Conference
Mitchell Swann, a junior chemistry major, recently won the Outstanding Student Poster Award for Exemplary Research from the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Physical Chemistry at the recent ACS Spring national meeting. Mitchell conducts research with Dr. Ranil Gurusinghe on spectroscopic and computational studies of molecular planarity, confirmational structures, and quantum tunneling phenomena in styrene derivates. Congratulations to Michell on his research and this accomplishment!

Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Dr. Andi Pina, RIT
This Friday we will be visited by Dr. Andi Pina from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Pina’s field is Physics Education Research, and because of the rapidly increasing prevalence of quantum technologies in science and society, Dr. Pina has a particular interest in quantum information science and engineering (QISE) education. Dr. Pina will describe how educational practices related to QISE are evolving in their talk The Landscape of Quantum Information Science and Engineering Education and the role of Physics Departments. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are encouraged to attend!
