    Love Potion Pre-sale Fundraiser Extended to Feb 7

    The Love Potions fundraiser is being extended to Friday, Feb. 7! You still have a chance to pre-order them through our Square Store and have them delivered to a campus mailbox for students or to an office for faculty and staff. They are $2 each or 3 for $5. We can add a note to them as well! You will be contacted via email after you order to determine the delivery location. Any questions can be sent to smacsttu@gmail.com.

  • Applications for the Scholastic Research Awards Now Being Accepted

    The Scholastic Research Award, presented by the University Research Advisory Committee, is a university-wide award for a single, significant and innovative work produced, published, performed or exhibited from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2024. Two awards, of $1,500 each, are available each year, with one reserved for tenure-track faculty and the other reserved for tenured faculty. Applications must be submitted electronically in a single PDF to jdicey@tntech.edu no later than April 4, 2025. For complete application requirements, please visit the Office of Research website

    Pop-Up SNAP Education Event

    Did you know that you may qualify for food stamps benefits as a college student? The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a government- funded program that provides food benefits to low-income families and individuals to supplement your grocery budget so that you can afford nutritious foods. As college students, many of us have a lower budget and may not be able to afford healthy foods each week, and SNAP can help!

    Come learn about how you may be eligible to receive assistance buying healthy foods through the SNAP program! We will be set up in front of the Cafe on Monday, February 10th from 10:30-12:30. We will be answering questions about SNAP, helping you complete the application for benefits, and handing out lots of goodies! We hope to see you there!

    Join us in celebrating Black History Month. Tennessee Tech University will be hosting a series of events throughout February, starting with the Men’s and Women’s Basketball games Today, February 6th at 5:30 pm at the Hooper Eblen Center. Other exciting events include the Annual Soul Food Night on February 11th, the Gospel Extravaganza on February 16th, the SOLO Event Live on the Plaza and Music Workshop on February 20th, the IMPACT Annual Banquet on February 23rd, Black History Month Trivia Night on February 25th, and a performance by Step Afrika on February 28th, among others.

    Trouble sending professional emails? Not sure how to write a memo or proposal? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 2/11, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on business and professional writing, focusing on those specific genres. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration is required, and all are welcome.  If you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session with one of our consultants.
