Rural Reimagined recognizes and congratulates Cameran Green, Conall Fisher, Andrew Al-Halawani, Lukas Motykowski, and Jacob Ford from the Computer Science Program on presenting their Capstone project at Tennessee Tech’s Engineering Expo. Their project titled “EduNet” was sponsored by Rural Reimagined’s Michael Aikens and Kinsey Simone. These students researched ways to directly transform rural education through the development of EduNet, a website that allows teachers in the Upper Cumberland area to post ideas, resources, and allow communication among educators about receiving said resources. This group of students partnered directly with Rural Reimagined and designed a great project. Congrats to all of them for completing their Capstone successfully. Kim Rosamond’s Lil’ Eagle Basketball Camp for girls entering kindergarten to 8th grade will be June 8-10 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. each day. The cost is $115 per camper. Campers must register online at: Lil’ Eagle Camp Online Registration.

In observance of April being Counseling Awareness Month and May being Mental Health Awareness month, the TN Tech Counseling Center and Student Government Association are partnering to sponsor the Mental Health Matters T-shirt Sale for support of the Patricia Smith Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who plans to purse a degree in mental health counseling. 100% of the t-shirt sales support this scholarship. Please join Alpha Phi Omega in making Pine Cone Bird Feeders for our feathered friends! This event will be held Thursday, April 7th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Centennial Plaza. Supplies will be provided and all parts of these feeders will be biodegradable. We will also be using peanut butter for this project so please be advised for allergy purposes.
Alpha Phi Omega is a Co-Ed Service Organization based on the Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, has got you covered! On Thursday, 3/31, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on writing annotated bibliographies. We can talk about the genre as a whole, and discuss specific concerns you might have for your class or instructor. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50.
