Implementing Critical Thinking in Your Course
Join the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) as we discuss the importance of critical thinking within your course. Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, Feb. 22, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Purple Career Readiness Workshop. Be sure to attend this event as the Center for Career Development will teach you how to answer tough interview questions at this workshop!
This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

Center Stage presents Lily Hoang
Center Stage visiting novelist Lily Hoang will be conducting a generative writing workshop, “Mirror, Mirror, Science and Magic,” for campus writers from across campus, Thursday, Feb.24, from 3-4pm, in Henderson 305. No experience is necessary. Sponsored by the Creative Writing program of the English department.
Lily Hoang is the author of five books, including A Bestiary (finalist for a PEN USA Nonfiction Book Award) and Changing (recipient of a PEN Open Books Award). She has been a Mellon Fellow at Rhodes University in South Africa, a Distinguished Visiting Writer at Cornell College, and a Cultural Exchange Faculty Fellow at Wuhan University in China. To date, she has taught creative writing on five continents. She currently teaches in the MFA Program at UC San Diego.
