Same as years past, the TN Tech Food Pantry will hold a collection for holiday food items. Baskets will be assembled on Nov. 21st and handed out Nov. 22nd. You can donate money toward a turkey or ham for each family who registers as well. Click Here and Choose Turkey/Ham Program

Earth Sciences Guest Seminar This Thursday, 11am, KITT 209
Join the Earth Sciences Department this Thursday at 11am in KITT 209 for a guest seminar on “The Unintended Consequences of Renewable Energy“. Mr. John Neale, a career geologist, will discuss the types of raw earth materials needed for renewable energy technology, and the role that these economic minerals play in tomorrow’s technology. Office of Communications & Marketing Moving to Foundation Hall
The Office of Communications & Marketing will be closed the week of November 14 to allow staff to transition to workspaces in Foundation Hall. The office will be occupying space on the second floor of Foundation Hall, and this is a permanent move. Staff will ensure all projects currently underway will updated before the office closes for this transition. Calling All Ladies in Civil Engineering! Do you love designing?
All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will be hosting a t-shirt design contest for our club shirts. We will be accepting designs until November 12th where the winning design will be voted on at our annual Friendsgiving potluck so make sure to attend (check out our excel sheet below for Friendsgiving). All designs can be sent to alice.tntech@gmail.com. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to submit a design. The winning design will receive a prize.

ALICE Annual Friendsgiving Potluck and food drive!
All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will be hosting our annual Friendsgiving on November 15th at 6pm in Prescott 215. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to attend. The ALICE annual Friendsgiving is a potluck where the turkey is provided and all you need to bring is yourself and a side (Excel sheet for potluck is featured below). This Friendsgiving, we are looking to give back by hosting a canned food drive to help support the TTU campus food pantry, so you are welcome to bring canned goods as well. ALICE is also hosting a t-shirt design contest, and voting will take place during the event.

“Join the Appalachian Center for Craft for Holiday Festival 2022! November 18, 19, and 20 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) the Craft Center will have a 25% discount in the retail gallery. There are also a limited supply of workshops available for Saturday! The three workshops being offered include: Blow Your Own Glass Ornament, Make Your Own Carving Knife, and Shibori Scarves. Event Coordinators Needed for 2023 Regional Science Olympiad 02/11/2023
The Oakley STEM Center is recruiting Event Coordinators (EC) to serve as judges at the 2023 Regional Science Olympiad (SciOly) Tournament on February 11th, 2023. As an EC, you’d coordinate one of the 46 SciOly events. Depending on the event, ECs will either write and grade an exam or judge experiments and contraptions. This opportunity is best suited for STEM professionals, faculty, staff, and graduate students.

Career Readiness Deadline is Monday, November 14
Monday, November 14, is the FINAL DAY to submit your Career Readiness Application for the Fall 2022 semester. All materials for Gold and Purple Career Readiness Applications MUST be turned in-person to the Center for Career Development (RUC 328), via email to career@tntech.edu, or online at https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/career-ready.php by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14.
Substitutions or late submissions will not be accepted.

Non-Instructional Faculty Assignment Submission 2022-2023
Proposals from faculty are now being accepted for the 2022-2023 academic year for the Non-Instructional Faculty Assignments. The purposes of the non-instructional assignments are: to contribute to the professional growth of the faculty; to improve the teaching and the curriculum across the University; and/or to enhance the scholarship and academic excellence of the University in ways that cannot be accomplished under the constraints of the regular workload assignments. Submission deadlines: January 17, 2023 – Suggested deadline for proposals to department chairs; January 27, 2023 – Deadline for proposals to Academic Affairs.
