In this session, Dr. Kelvin Norman and Lauren Neal will elaborate on how to locate and use these hidden gems so that instructors can get the most out of their iLearn experience. Included in this list of top features are copying assignments within a course, Quick Eval, restoring assessments, setting default availability dates, and more. 2022 W-2 Availability
Electronic W-2s are now available online for employees!
Access to Electronic W-2s. First log into TechExpress (https://express.tntech.edu). Select the “Eagle” button from the Quicklinks area. This will take you to Eagle Online. Select the Employee tab, and your W-2 is located under Tax Forms. Please note that your PIN is not required if you use Tech Express.
Paper W-2s were mailed January 20th for employees who did not consent to receiving the electronic version. Employees who wish to receive W-2’s electronically in the future can select Electronic Regulatory Consent in Tech Express under Tax Forms. We encourage employees to select Electronic Regulatory Consent as it reduces the risk of others obtaining your personal information through mail theft.

Call for Submissions: Attune Women’s Center Journal
The Women’s Center is looking for submissions for its semesterly journal, Attune. Attune is a student-edited publication produced each semester that focuses on the lives of women and gender minorities and contemporary issues in gender equity. We accept non-fiction articles and essays, creative non-fiction, fiction, poetry, photography, and other art in any medium that can be printed in our pages.
Pitches for contributions should be submitted via email to the executive editor, Nicki Parish, by Feb. 1. Pitches should be 100-200 words describing the contribution and include the author’s affiliation (Tech student, staff, faculty, or community member). Final contributions should be no more than 650 words or a single 8 1/2 by 11 spread. Contributors may submit multiple pieces for consideration, which should be indicated at the pitch stage. Send all submissions to lnparish42@tntech.edu.

Gold Career Readiness Workshop on January 24: Writing My First Resume
Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, January 24, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center in the Multipurpose Room (second floor) for the first Gold Career Readiness Workshop of the semester! Mr. Russ Coughenour, Center for Career Development Director, will be describing the qualities of a strong, foundational resume.
This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card with you to receive credit for attendance.

COLLEGE FRIENDS Healthy Relationships Group
Do you find that relationships can be hard and confusing? Are you interested in learning about healthy relationships? Come join our healthy relationships group to explore healthy relationships, healthy boundaries, ways to identify green & red flags in relationships, and more! Spring 2023 Career Readiness Programs have begun!
The Center for Career Development announces that Career Readiness Certification (workshops) are underway! We encourage faculty interested in inserting Career Readiness into their curricula to take advantage of these programs. The GOLD program is designed for Freshman and Sophomore students and introduces them to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career ready competencies and the importance of building skills through campus activities, organizations and experiential education.
The PURPLE program is designed for Junior and Senior level students, assisting them with a deeper dive into how to translate their skills and experiences to employers. Greater focus is placed on where skills come from and what employers will want to discuss and see on resumes. In addition, PURPLE stresses areas such as making great impressions, succeeding when making presentations, attending job fairs and what to expect during personal interviews.
Faculty can encourage full certification or pick and choose select workshops for their classes.
