Purple Career Readiness Workshop on August 22!
Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, August 22, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for the first Purple Career Readiness Workshop of the semester! Mr. Russ Coughenour, Center for Career Development Director, will teach you about NACE Career Ready Skills, which are sure to impress a potential employer.
This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card with you to receive credit for attendance.

The Retirement of Dr. Ramachandran Natarajan
Please join the College of Business faculty and staff on August 25th from 1-3PM in the Tech Pride Room to celebrate the retirement of the W.E. Mayberry Professor of Management and Associate Dean, Dr. Ramachandran Natarajan, “Dr. Nat”.
A distinguished and cherished College of Business faculty member and administrator, Dr. Nat, is retiring from Tennessee Tech after 35 years of dedicated service to the university. In his time at Tech, Dr. Nat has published in numerous journals and authored/ co-authored books, case studies, and monographs on manufacturing, supply chain management, and quality and performance management. In addition to his passion for student and faculty mentorship, Dr. Nat has provided the College of Business with an irreplaceable wealth of knowledge and skills including extensive work for the maintenance of AACSB accreditation. We extend our deep admiration and appreciation for the remarkable legacy of Dr. Nat.

C & S Day Winner
Sarah Starkey won the gift bag donated by the Office of Communications and Marketing at the 2023 Clerical and Support Day held on Aug. 4. She was one of the many clerical and support staff who attend the C&S Day and entered the drawing for the OCM gift bag.
Starkey, a financial associate with the College of Engineering, has been at Tech for eight years. She spent three years in the Center for Career Development, three years in Arts & Sciences and is currently enrolled in Organizational Leadership in School of Professional Studies.
She has been married to her husband Eugene for 11 years and currently serves in several leadership roles in Cookeville Junior Woman’s Club, a local nonprofit. In her spare time, she likes to create crafts for gifts and cook.

Cheer on your Golden Eagle Soccer team as they take on the Chattanooga Mocs on Sunday, August 20 at 6:00 p.m. CST. Admission is FREE for Tech students and staff as well as the public.
The Golden Eagles are hoping to build upon last year’s impressive season earning the 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Regular Season Championship title going 8-5-5 overall and 5-0-3 in conference play.

Intercultural Affairs Welcome Back Event & Grand Opening – August 22nd
We invite you to join us on Tuesday, August 22nd at 11 am – 1 pm for the annual Welcome Back event hosted by Intercultural Affairs. This event will also be a special event to highlight the recently completed renovations in the Intercultural Affairs/Leona Lusk Officer Black Cultural Center (RUC 258) and to showcase the new spaces on the 2nd floor hallway leading to the office area, the Intercultural Lounge and Classroom 246.
This will be a great time to meet new students, faculty, and staff ; learn more about some of the student organizations and about the new opportunities that will be coming from Intercultural Affairs.
