QPR Gatekeeper Training
Please join the TN Tech Counseling Center for Question, Persuade, Refer Gatekeeper training for suicide prevention. QPR is intended to teach individuals on how to recognize warning signs of suicide and use the QPR framework to assist those individuals in getting appropriate help. This gatekeeper training will be held on November 18th at 11:00am in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (Room 282). Group Work Part 3
In the final session of the Video Projects series, Dr. Beach and Ms. Story will discuss options for implementing the video tips and tricks they have shared in part 1 and part 2, as well as provide information specific to student video projects.

iMakerSpace Open House + Pancakes
Come visit the iMakerSpace in Volpe Library 348 from 11am to 12pm on November 18th to enjoy some pancakes and see some of the cool things the iMakerSpace has to offer! You will be able to design and “print” your own pancakes via the PancakeBots in the space! In addition to 3D printing pancakes, we will have open demonstrations of 3D scanning objects for 3D printing and laser cutting keychains with our GlowForge Pro.

Gold/Purple Career Readiness Application Deadline on Nov. 15th
Monday, Nov. 15, is the FINAL DAY to submit your Career Readiness Application for the Fall 2021 semester. All materials for Gold and Purple Career Readiness Applications must be turned in-person to the Center for Career Development (RUC 328), via email to career@tntech.edu, or online at https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/career-ready.php by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15.
Substitutions or late submissions will not be accepted.
The Career Readiness Certification program is hosted by the Center for Career Development.

Pied for the Pantry: Change of Venue
This Thursday from 11 AM – 1 PM IN THE LOBBY of the Roaden University Center, the staff of New Hall North and Jobe/Murphy as well as the Campus Police Department will host a “Pied for the Pantry” event, raising money for the campus food pantry. For $1 you can step up and choose which TN Tech Employee you would like to pie in the face for charity.

The deadline to nominate someone for a 2022 Tennessee Tech Alumni Award is November 15. Awards are presented in four categories: Outstanding Young Alumnus, Outstanding Service, Outstanding Philanthropy and Distinguished Alumnus. Bryan Symphony Orchestra Concert
Join the Bryan Symphony Orchestra for their upcoming concert on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 3 PM. The BSO presents “The Rose of Sonora – a violin concerto in five scenes” by George S. Clinton, performed by guest artist Holly Mulcahy. Also performed at this concert is Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21 by Ludwig van Beethoven, and The Moldau by Bedřich Smetana.
TTU students will be admitted for free to the November 14, 2021 concert, but must reserve a ticket in advance or at the box office on the day of the concert.
This concert was made possible by generous support from TTU’s Center Stage, Ms. Candace Thomas, Mr. Dan Allcott & Susan Capron, and Ms. Laurie Sewell.

REALM of FANTASY: Erin Knight Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metals
Goblins and faeries have taken over the gallery at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville, TN. Graduating senior Erin Knight created a scene of wonder in her student exhibition, “Let The Finale Be Unseen”, a lively cast of fantastical creatures caught in a moment of time. They brought their tree and storybook with them and will be in residence Nov.17 – 30, 2021. All ages are invited.
A culmination of three years of hard work, features goblins, faeries, and other creatures out of folklore exploring our world from the safety of a tree transplanted from theirs. Attendees can view these intrepid explorers from all angles as they move about the space. Artist Erin Knight invites close inspection of the work and the associated title cards, “because some secrets need a little digging to uncover.”

Gold/Purple Career Readiness Makeup Workshop on Nov. 11
Do you still need to attend one more workshop to complete your Gold or Purple Career Readiness Application? Join the Center for Career Development on Thursday, Nov. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. in Clement Hall 212 for our final Career Readiness Workshop of the semester!
This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students or the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

Center Stage Proposal Deadline Dec. 1st
Calling all potential campus hosts: The Center Stage series is currently accepting proposal submissions for the 2022-23 academic year. Proposals are due Wednesday, December 1, 2021. As a head’s up, there have been a few changes to this year’s submission form. Also, due to recent procedure changes, no extensions will be granted for proposal submissions this year, so be sure to submit before or on December 1st!
