    Education Day – Parking

    Thursday, December 4, women’s basketball will be hosting Samford for Education Day.

    Due to this event, parking will be impacted on Thursday.

    All vehicles must be removed from the commuter parking lot between the Hooper Eblen Center and Tucker Stadium by 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3. 

    Vehicles left in the parking lot will be towed at the owner’s expense.

    Student Affairs Student Spotlight-Md Saeid Ebna Maleque

    Meet Md Saeid Ebna Maleque, our December Student Affairs Student Spotlight!

    Saeid is a final-year master’s student at Tennessee Tech studying Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Materials. On campus, he is an active member of the Bangladesh Student Association, where he helped plan and host the New Student Reception events and represented Bangladesh at the Window on the World festival. Recently, Saeid won Tennessee Tech’s Cummins Falls State Park Clean-Up Competition. His research on ultra-high-performance concrete earned awards at Research & Creative Inquiry Day in 2024 and 2025. After graduation, he will begin his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Oklahoma State University, with hopes of becoming a professor and continuing his research.

    The Sprit of Gadugi Graduate Students are collecting items and monetary donations to support the Living Waters Food Pantry in Cherokee, North Carolina.     Last chance to enter Christmas Ornament Decorating Contest!

    The Office of the President is hosting our inaugural Christmas ornament decorating contest! We are still accepting entries through Friday, December 5th. All departments on campus are encouraged to participate in the festivity. Please register here and note the ornament requirements. This year’s theme is gingerbread, and we want to see your creativity with gingerbread men, gingerbread houses, candy, icing, and any other fun supplies you can think of. Entries are not limited to baked gingerbread, but must not be store bought! The contest will be judged by an impartial group and first, second, and third place prizes will be named in Tech Times on Tuesday, December 16th.

    Lighting the Quad 2025!

    It is officially the holiday season when we all get together to enjoy Lighting the Quad! Don’t miss this tradition beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2. Join us for music, hot chocolate, t-shirts and more as we turn on the Historic Quad. 

    The inclement weather rain date will be Thursday, December 4.

    Tennessee Tech Football vs. North Dakota – FCS Round 1 Playoff Game

    Your OVC Football Champions will face North Dakota for Round 1 of the FCS Playoffs.

    Kickoff is at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 29 and gates to Tucker open at 11 a.m.

    Tailgating reservations are open now and will close Wednesday, November 26 at 4:30 p.m.

    Students, entry to the game is free and you must SCAN your Eagle Card upon entrance. Tailgating is also free for students in the southwest corner of the tailgate park.
