    Head & Heart in Recovery

    CAPS presents a free training that integrates practical neuroscience of addiction with emotional intelligence skills to help peer specialists understand how brain changes, stress, and emotions influence substance use, relapse, and recovery. Participants will learn how addiction affects the brain’s reward, stress, and decision-making systems, why emotions often drive behavior, and how emotionally regulated peer relationships support healing. The session emphasizes stigma reduction, trauma-informed engagement, and sustainable peer practice in rural and community settings. Register here.

    WEST Workshop 2/17: Effective Presentations

    Looking for help understanding presentations? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 2/17, we will lead a dead hour workshop on Effective Presentations. We will talk about how to structure, format, and present to an audience. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 216A, from 11:00-11:50. No registration required, and all are welcome.  If you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session. For availability and scheduling, check out our website.     The Autonomous Robotics Club is excited to announce its biggest event yet! On February 21, we’re hosting, Battle at the Nest! Taking place in the Roaden University Center on campus, this VEX V5 High School Tournament will bring together 32 teams as they battle it out for a chance to advance to the State Championship.

    Meet Sheilla Aneno, our February Student Affairs Student Spotlight!

    Sheilla is a PhD student in Exceptional Learning with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. She serves as a Graduate Assistant and Research Assistant supporting neurodivergent students. A campus leader and President of the African Student Union, she’s a published researcher, MAD Scholar, and founder of the VOLTAA Project.
