iLearn: Insights Dashboard
Join the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) on Tuesday, March 21st at 11 AM for Insights Dashboard part 1. Course analytics can help provide insight into the effectiveness of course elements, as well as the level of engagement for students. The analytics provided in iLearn allow instructors to monitor class progress, content statistics, quiz statistics, and more. During this session we will cover how to access the different course analytics for each tool and how to use the information collected to help improve course design and student engagement. Fulbright Faculty Award Informational Session
The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFÉ) is very excited to host an informational session with Dr. Denita Hadziabdic on March 23 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. She is a Fulbright Faculty Alumni to Ghana and Fulbright Ambassador since 2022. She is also a 2002 graduate from Tennessee Tech in Horticulture-Agriculture. Dr. Hadziabdic will be providing us with an informational session about the Fulbright Faculty Award program, discuss her experiences, and the application process. Learn how to make French crêpes at Avant-Garde’s Crêpe Workshops!
Avant-Garde (TTU’s French Club) presents its Crêpe Workshops, with three possible evenings to choose from. Sign up for a workshop on either Tuesday, March 28, Wednesday, March 29, or Thursday, March 30.
Price is $10 for students, and $25 for non-students and includes hands-on instructions for making crêpes using three different methods, a variety of savory and sweet fillings, and a recipe book that includes the history of crêpes. Participants will make their own crêpes, fill them, and eat them (yum!)
All workshops run from 6:30-8 and meet in Oakley Hall 114. Due to the limited number of spaces reservations are required, and no tickets will be available at the door. Purchase your tickets by clicking on this link:

“Helping Students Soar”
CSB Outstanding Advocate Award Nomination Form
Any professional staff member (administration, faculty, and staff) who meets the following
criteria and is currently or has previously been employed full-time at Tennessee
Technological University is eligible for nomination. Furthermore, any community advocate
who has demonstrated outstanding initiatives in the advancements of the Commission on
the Status of Blacks’ supported communities may qualify for this award. The nominated
candidate should lead by example and provide outstanding advocacy in the following areas:
general mentoring, social engagement and academic success to students supported by the
CSB. Current members of the CSB are ineligible for nomination. A professional staff
member or community advocate who has received the award shall not be eligible for the
award again for a period of five (5) years.
Please submit nominations to Ms. Corinne Johnson at cjohnson@tntech.edu. Nominations
should list the names of award candidates and include detailed explanations as to how the
candidates meet the award criteria described above. Nominations must be received by
March 24, 2023. The award will be given at the annual CSB Scholars’ Awards Luncheon, to
be held on April 4, 2023. -

FREE Medical, Dental, & Vision Clinic on March 18th & 19th!
The Upper Cumberland Community Host Group is honored to announce that we have partnered with Remote Area Medical to bring a FREE Medical, Dental, & Vision Clinic to Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland region again! The UCCHG is a group of Tennessee Tech students, one of three student led host groups in the nation, who work throughout the year to fund and run this clinic. The RAM Clinic will take place on March 18th and 19th (starting at 6:00 a.m.) at Cookeville High School. If you, or anyone you know, is in need of these services, feel free to attend. It is completely free, no insurance or ID required, and is on a first come, first served basis. There are a variety of services offered by some of the best professionals in the nation!
