Today! The Clothesline Project 2025
Thursday April 10th, 10:00-2:00pm, Tech Pride Room (RUC 101) & Centennial Plaza
The Clothesline Project displays handmade shirts bearing witness to interpersonal violence in our community. Each shirt is decorated to represent a particular survivor’s experience. The Clothesline Project started with thirty-one shirts hung in Hyannis, Massachusetts in 1990 to call attention to violence against women. Since then, thousands of projects have been started in communities worldwide. The Tennessee Tech Women’s Center has been involved since 1998 and has always welcomed participation from all people. 2025 CITL Summer Intensive: Harnessing the Power of AI in Education
Register now for the CITL’s 2025 Summer Intensive – Harnessing the Power of AI in Education. Participants can join in person on campus in the IDEAL Classroom or via Microsoft Teams.
This workshop gives educators across the state an opportunity to explore AI in the classroom through interactive sessions, helpful resources, and an informative discussion panel. Topics include prompt generation, AI for assessment and alignment, and AI integration in teaching.

The Center for Addiction Prevention and Support is offering a free and anonymous e-checkup survey for all students, faculty, and staff to assess your substance misuse and obtain personalized feedback. take the free assessment. QR codes for the e-checkup can be found around campus.

Judges Needed on April 22 for Student Research & Creative Inquiry Day
Please consider spending a portion of your day on April 22 evaluating student posters as part of the 20th Annual Student Research & Creative Inquiry event. Judging has expanded to a full day on April 22 from 8:00am to 6:00pm to fit a variety of schedules. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 24 at 11:00. Charity Pickleball Tournament
This is a charity pickleball tournament we are holding for our Organizational Leadership class on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 6:00PM. This will be located in the MacGym at the Fit and is open to only TTU students. All proceeds go to House of Hope Charity. Single Player is $5 and Teams are $10. We will pair each player up with a teammate if they do not have one. Vandyck Adade-Yeboah Wins Poster Award at National Conference
Congratulations to Exceptional Learning PhD candidate Vandyck Adade-Yeboah on being selected as the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) 2025 Convention poster session award winner. Vandyck is a Ghana native who is passionate about researching needs in his home country. He and his advisor, Dr. Krystal Kennedy, have been working with professionals and parents in Ghana over the past two years to research and address behavioral needs in school-aged populations. Vandyck is currently working on his dissertation in the same area and plans to continue working with his native community.

Honors Program Students Represent Tech at Regional Conference
Honors Program students represented Tennessee Tech at a conference held by the Southern Regional Honors Council, comprised of over 90 affiliated institutions from 11 states! Their presentations included Markovian Sensor Control Frameworks for Enhancing Security of Internal Loads on Autonomous Aircrafts-Trevon Collins (ME), Jailed Minds: Hidden Crisis of Arresting the Mentally Ill- Cheyenne McAbee (POLS/SOC) and A Content Analysis of Cybercrime and the Intent to Defraud- Esther Paul (POLS).

Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Phil Roberson, TTU Earth Sciences
This Friday Phil Roberson from the TTU Earth Sciences department will be giving the Undergraduate seminar. In his talk Facies Models in the Geologic Record, Phil will describe a key framework for organizing the physical, biological, and chemical properties of sedimentary rock that, among other things, provides a way to understand an increasingly diverse set of new environments using past observations. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are encouraged to attend!

Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic Donations
Chi Sigma Iota – TTU is partnering with Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic in an effort to provide necessary items to expecting mothers and families. Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic has been operating for 35 years to support its clients with compassionate care, excellent medical services, parent education, and material assistance. CSI is collecting donations at the RUC and Matthews-Daniel from April 1st through May 2nd. Please see the flyer for specific items the Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic has requested.
