Tech Football Welcomes Charleston Southern for Faculty & Staff Appreciation Game
Head to Tucker Stadium on Saturday, October 26 for the Faculty and Staff Appreciation football game versus Charleston Southern! The first 15 faculty and staff members to the game will receive a free game worn jersey!
Head to the 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Park 3 hours prior to kickoff for live music and inflatables. The Eagle Walk will begin at 11:15 a.m. followed with performances by your Tech Spirit Squad and Golden Eagle Marching Band! Gates open at 12:30 p.m. with kickoff set at 1:30 p.m.

Part one of this series identifies the most important strategy for surviving an active shooting. This strategy is not only useful on campus, but in stores, houses of worship, businesses, and more. How would you survive an act of mass violence, or would you? By learning these concepts, not only can you save yourself, but you could also save many others.

The University established the Scholar-Mentor Award to honor TTU’s long history of close relationships between faculty and their students. The award honors a faculty member who displays outstanding mentorship, integrating scholarship, research, and teaching excellence. The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2024-25 Scholar Mentor Award is Friday, November 22, 2024. OER program and payment opportunity
Provost Bruce’s OER (Open Educational Resources) program offers discretionary funds to selected faculty to transition their courses from traditional textbooks to their own, newly created OERs. This program helps increase equity in access to quality, zero-cost educational materials. Faculty interested in creating an OER as part of this program must submit an application by 11/4/2024. Crawford Alumni Center welcomes Events Specialist Raela Gore
The Crawford Alumni Center is excited to welcome their new events specialist, Raela Gore!
Raela graduated from Tennessee Tech in 2013 with a degree in English. Since 2016, she has served as the events director for RSVP Events where she planned various types of events throughout the country and internationally. She has also worked as the Brand Partnerships director for the Better Together with Kosta Yepifantsev podcast.

Head to the Hooper Eblen Center tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 22 for a men’s basketball charity exhibition game at 6:00 p.m. Your Golden Eagles host Austin Peay and are raising money for the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. Tech Volleyball Welcomes Little Rock
Head to the Hooper Eblen Center on Friday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m. as your Golden Eagles host the Trojans of Little Rock. The Tech Volleyball team will be dedicating both matches to mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Admission is free for all fans!
