Research and Creative Inquiry Day abstract submission deadline approaching
All students planning to participate in Research and Creative Inquiry Day must complete the online abstract submission form at by 11:59 p.m., Wed., March 10, 2021. After that time, no additional abstracts will be accepted. A confirmation email will be sent to the primary author upon abstract submission. If that email is not received, the abstract has not been successfully submitted. If this occurs, the student should resubmit or contact the Office of Research before the abstract submission deadline.

Co-op Meetup #3 will be Held Virtually on Monday, Mar. 8, at 5 p.m.
Did you accept a cooperative education position with an employer recently? If you accepted a co-op OR are planning to in the near future, attend the Co-op Meetup on Monday, Mar. 8, which will be held virtually via TEAMS at 5 p.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup. The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students. Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step! Eagle Works registration is now open! Join students from programs across campus to compete for awards totaling $20,000. Eagle Works is a Shark Tank-style competition focusing on innovation & entrepreneurship, problem-solving, creative thinking, and teamwork!

Mindfulness March
The TN Tech Counseling Center is sponsoring Mindfulness March with an interactive tabling event on March 11 from 10am-2pm in the RUC Lobby. Mindfulness tips will be posted to the Counseling Center Instagram page on Wednesdays during the month of March. Adopt and share insights about text books and course materials
We’re excited to introduce the Adoption & Insights Portal, your source for researching, adopting and sharing insights about textbooks and course materials.
In partnership with the University Bookstore, we are introducing this new portal to help us achieve our goals of student success and retention by ensuring course material adoptions are submitted at a 100% submission rate by our adoption deadline of March 29th, 2021.

If you are unable to attend one of the webinars, we will be recording one of sessions and sending that out in follow-up communication. In the meantime, we have attached a brief video introducing AIP.
As a part of this launch, we have also integrated the platform with the campuses Single Sign On (SSO) technology. You can conveniently access AIP from: Tech Express. Search for the “BN AIP” application under your QuickLinks.
Once you access AIP, if you do not see any information and you believe you should please contact the bookstore so they can make sure you are loaded in the system with the appropriate permissions.

NEW Virtual Workshops at the Appalachian Center for Craft
The Appalachian Center for Craft is now offering hands-on workshops through ZOOM! Participants will meet with instructors during live Zoom sessions. Sessions will include demonstrations, tips, techniques and advice on specific topics and projects. Students will have time to practice techniques or complete projects on their own and will reconvene through Zoom to ask questions, get advice, troubleshoot or to share completed work. Each virtual workshop will vary in length – some will take place over the course of a day, an evening, several evenings or weekends. Be sure to look for details listed with each workshop.
