  • Project AWAKEN Replaces EverFi Haven for Students

    Sexual misconduct prevention and awareness training for incoming students will be conducted through Project AWAKEN via iLearn.  This will replace the EverFi Haven training offered in the past. If you were previously a student at Tennessee Tech and have recently been readmitted, you are not required to take the Project AWAKEN training.     Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM) is excited to share its fall semester activities with the campus community! If you would like to join our email list please fill out this form. oSTEM is open to LQBTQ+ students, faculty, staff and allies. Our primary focus is to empower LGBTQ+ and allies in STEM fields but we welcome people from any department or major. We have a virtual presentation planned, as well as some other professional development and social events. Join our email list to make sure you get information about our upcoming activities.   • IMPORTANT for 2021 Annual Benefit Enrollment

    Health premiums are changing for all plan members:

        • Higher education active employees – 2.8% premium increase

    Voluntary products premiums:

        • No premium increases for vision, disability or life insurance plans.

     

        • Prepaid dental premiums will increase by 3%. DPPO dental premiums will not increase.

    Health options and network are not changing.
    Health insurance copays, coinsurance and deductibles are staying the same for all plans.
    2021 Vendor (Insurance Carrier) Update:

        • HSA/FSA vendor will change to Optum Bank beginning January 1, 2020.

     

        • During Annual Enrollment period, all employees MUST choose flexible spending account (FSA) election amounts if they want to put money in them for 2021. Employees will enroll on the Optum Bank website once annual enrollment begins

  • Come join the fun! TTU Water Professionals and Engineers Without Borders Meeting

    TTU Water Professionals and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) will be having their second joint meeting of the semester on Thursday, Sept. 17, in Prescott Hall room 215 and also through Zoom from 11:00 – 11:45 am. At this meeting, new officers will be announced and we will discuss our projects and speakers for the semester. All majors are welcome. We hope to see you there!

    As of 2021, Tennessee Tech will no longer serve as administrator for the AirMedCare service.  This termination of agreement will not affect the current issued memberships for Tennessee Tech employees.

  • New Associate Vice President of Facilities and Business Services

    Please welcome Charles (Chuck) Roberts the new AVP of Facilities & Business Services to campus! Mr. Roberts comes to us from Arnold Air Force Base where he was a Colonel and served as Vice President for Facilities/IT/Security/Medical/Student Services.  Over his career with the USAF, Mr. Roberts’ responsibilities have included management of large facilities including asset management, capital construction, housing, energy savings initiatives, space optimization and emergency management.

    Mr. Roberts received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from United States Air Force Academy, Master of Science in Engineering and Environmental Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology and Master’s Degree in Military National Resource Strategy and Policy from National Defense University.

    We are excited for Mr. Roberts to join our campus community.
