    Evening of Excellence will honor 2024 Alumni Award winners Nov. 2

    On Nov. 2, the Tennessee Tech Alumni Association will recognize the 2024 alumni award recipients:

    Outstanding Young Alumna: Brittney Herman (`17 English)
    Outstanding Service: Randy Wilmore (`82 business management)
    Outstanding Philanthropy: Mary Anne Koltowich (`77 civil engineering)
    Distinguished Alumnus: Ashraf Islam (`68 civil engineering)

    The Evening of Excellence will be held on Homecoming at the Leslie Town Centre. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program at 6:30 p.m. Regular tickets are $50 per person but we are offering special faculty and staff pricing for just $25 per person. Please join us in congratulating this year’s winners!

    French Movie Night – Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6 pm

    Join us on October 2 to enjoy an iconic French comedy: “Asterix and Obelix: mission Cleopatra”. The movie will be shown in French with English subtitles. Free event.

    This movie is an adaptation of a Belgian series of graphic novels called Asterix, which tells the story of two Gauls, Asterix and Obelix, who help their village in Brittany resist to the Roman invasion thanks to a secret magic potion brewed by the village druid. In this specific adventure, the two heroes embark for Egypt to help Queen Cleopatra win a bet against Julius Ceasar, their eternal enemy.

    This comedy will be shown at 6 p.m., on Wednesday October 2, in Henderson Hall 205. Bring a friend!
