12-Day Study Abroad to Spain and Portugal Open!
A 12-Day Faculty-led Study Abroad opportunity to Madrid, Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal is now open to all students! Students will enjoy international business visits, guided city tours, and visits to world-renowned landmarks. The group will meet three times during the Spring 2026 Semester, with travel to take place from May 9 to May 20, 2026. Interest meeting on October 7th at 4:30 in Foundation 238 (Auditorium). You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the position, ask any questions, and hear from 2025 SOAs about their experiences!

Sascha Altman DuBrul to Speak this Thursday
Sascha Altman DeBrul will speak on Thursday, Sept. 25th at 7 p.m. in Stonecipher 113.
DuBrul is the co-founder of The Icarus Project, an international community support network and media project, which is attempting to redefine the language and culture of mental health and illness. He founded the Bay Area Seed Interchange Library (BASIL).
He also helped to develop the Institute for the Development of Human Arts (IDHA), a training institute for mental health workers. This institute offers training to clinicians and peer workers in order to think about their personal relationship to mental health and illness. It is also building a network of mentorship to positively transform the mental health system.

ECE Guest Speaker Jack Baxter
On Thursday, September 25th at 11 AM in Brown 315, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) will be hosting guest speaker Jack Baxter. He will be hosting a Q&A style session with students, where students will be able to direct the event to their interests. The event will start with a short introduction from Jack Baxter about himself and his work, and then the rest of the time will be spent in Q&A.
Jack Baxter is a member of the ECE Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) and currently works at Nashville Electric Service (NES). As a member of the IAB, Jack wants to help all Tech students be successful during their time at Tech and after.

The Launchpad Student Success Center will host From Panic to Productivity: Prevailing over Procrastination from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Thursday, September 25th in Room 111 in Bartoo Hall.
In this workshop, you will explore why people procrastinate, connect productivity strategies to your situation, and draft a plan that fits your personal motivation.

Since 2022, the WMC awards the Women’s Center Exhibition Awards to student artists in the College of Fine Arts’ BFA Juried Art Exhibition whose artwork reflects the WMC’s mission.
