    WMC Craft Club!

    September 30th, 11-12:00pm, WMC RUC 339

    Aimed to give a dedicated time and space, once a month, for creative engagement, peer connection and collaboration. Much like our past “socials” but with a creative twist! Many of us crafters, craft alone and maybe only at home. The WMC Craft Club is hoping to connect those people, while also being able to share and learn potential new skills!     Launchpad Student Success Center & the Math Dept will host “Math Mindset: Strategies That Actually Work” from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., September 30th, in Room 119 in Bruner Hall.
    Students and faculty will share tips, advice, and strategies for thriving in math classes. Geared toward students in MATH 1710, 1720, 1904, and 1910, but is open to all! Bring your questions and get practical ideas you can use right away!

    Looking for an intense challenge? Register now for the Putnam Math Competition!

    Do you like math puzzles? Are you looking for a challenge of epic proportions? The Putnam Math Competition is calling.

    Held here on campus on the first Saturday in December, it consists of two 3-hour sessions, comprising a dozen supremely challenging problems, covering everything from algebra, geometry and calculus to number theory, linear algebra and methods of inductive proofs.

    These are a series of rigorous puzzles that call upon both your math knowledge and your problem-solving skills. Top performers receive scholarships, and all leave with the feeling of scaling the Mount Everest of math.

    There is no cost to participate, so if you’d like to learn more, contact Mark Rogers in the TTU Math Department (at mcrogers@tntech.edu). Fame and glory await you!

You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the position, ask any questions, and hear from 2025 SOAs about their experiences!

    Hispanic Heritage Event with SHPE

    Join the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) on Wednesday, September 24 in the AIEB Atrium from 6 to 8pm for a vibrant Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! Enjoy food and drinks, arts and crafts, glass painting, games, a piñata, and plenty of opportunities to learn and engage with Hispanic culture. This event is free and open to all students—come celebrate, connect, and have fun!

    Relaxation Hours

    The Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness are inviting you to stop by our Relaxation Hours Workshop! We want to provide you all a space to unwind and relax in between classes, no obligation or lecture involved – just a quiet, safe space to chill out! We have red light therapy, a massage chair, a sand tray, and more! We will be offering our relaxation space every Thursday this semester, starting at 11:00am.
