Purple Career Workshop on Jan. 28: Employer Insights to Successful Interviewing
Join the Center for Career Development on Thursday, Jan. 28, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Purple Career Readiness Workshop. A panel of employers will share their top tips and advice from their perspective for having a successful interview.
This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Purple Career Readiness Certificate for junior and senior students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.
To attend virtually, access the TEAMS link in Handshake Events. To receive credit for attending, you must log in with your Tennessee Tech email, participate if asked to during the workshop and be present for at least 80% of the presentation.

Rural Reimagined: Call to Faculty for Spring 2021
Since Rural Reimagined’s implementation in March 2019, TN Tech faculty have impacted rural areas through rural-related research, coursework, and over $1.4 million in activated grants. With the beginning of the Spring 2021 semester, Rural Reimagined wants to recognize all faculty who have or are currently working on rural-related research or coursework. If you have received a rural-related grant, are currently working on a proposal for rural-related research, or have included/plan to include rural-based objectives into your coursework, please email Kinsey Potter at sw-kbpotter@tntech.edu. An Evening with Joy Harjo, 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States
Joy Harjo is an internationally reknowed performer and writer of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Author of nine books of poetry, several plays and children’s books, and two memoirs, she has also served two terms as the official U.S. Poet Laureate.

Rural Reimagined invites all students to get involved with paid or academic credit hour internships through the Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) this semester. There are paid, college credit hour, service learning, or job shadowing internship positions ranging from 7-20 hours/week available including marketing, event planning, communications, data collection, finance, IT support, social media management, research, grant writing, and more.
