    As the Fall 2021 semester begins, Rural Reimagined wants to recognize all TN Tech faculty who have or are currently working on rural-related projects, coursework, or research.     It’s carnival time! The College of Interdisciplinary Studies welcomes you to the Fall 2021 semester at Tennessee Tech University. We will have hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, and free school supplies! First come, first serve on Wednesday, August 25th, starting at noon outside the Southwest Hall building (by the famous goldfish pond) on the corner of Stadium Drive and 10th Street (please ignore the construction). Meet our faculty and staff and enjoy a game of cornhole!

    Are you interested in Co-op? Need to find out how YOU can be Co-op eligible? Attend this Co-op Meetup on Tuesday, Aug. 24, in Clement Hall 212 at 11 a.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup.

    The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students.  Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step!  The new eligibility guidelines can be found at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/coop-eligibility.php.

    The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is currently accepting applications for the next cadet class, which starts in January 2022. If you are looking for a career that affords you opportunities to achieve your goals, then the THP is where you belong! The THP is a multi-faceted, full- service, statewide law enforcement agency that has numerous divisions.

    If you are interested in a career as a Tennessee State Trooper, you must apply online. Applications are being accepted now through Tuesday, August 31. Individuals interested in applying must be at least 21-years-old at the time of application, a U.S. citizen, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Live on the Plaza is an event series brought to you by the Student Government Association (SGA) S.O.L.O. fund. Make sure to grab your friends and come enjoy some free live energetic music performed by Cookeville’s own, The Smoky Nights! This event will take place from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This Is A Live Music Event Free For Students On Centennial Plaza.

    Women’s Equality Day celebration on Thursday, August 26

    Celebrate Women’s Equality Day, the day that American women won the right to vote, on August 26. Join the Women’s Center on the RUC Back Porch (behind Swoops) from 11-1 for snacks and giveaways. A display commemorating the 72-year non-violent struggle to pass the Nineteenth Amendment will be on exhibit as well as voter registration information.
