One Billion Rising is the biggest annual global campaign to end violence against women. Join us from 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Feb. 15 in the RUC lobby as we rise for body liberation and an end to violence against women and girls. There will be prizes, music, art activities, and giveaways! This event is cosponsored by the Women’s Center, the Tech Players, and the Peer Empowerment Program (P.E.P). Are you interested in Co-op? Need to find out how YOU can be Co-op eligible? Attend this Co-op Meetup on Thursday, Feb. 10, in Clement Hall 212 at 11 a.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup.

The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students.  Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step!  The new eligibility guidelines can be found at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/coop-eligibility.php.

Have you ever had to do a group project with people who just don’t seem to understand you? Or struggled to make yourself and your opinions heard? Do you want to learn a skill that will make working on a team easier? Then the Effective Communication workshop is for you!

This session will help you with group projects, networking events, and help prepare for this year’s Eagle Works competition. Learn the different types of communication styles and how to work effectively as a team.

The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange. A virtual option will be available on the Eagle Works homepage Wednesday morning.
