Alpha Phi Omega is Co-Ed Service Organization based on the Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. A few examples of what we do include: Blood Drives, Personal Care Product Drives, Relief Drives, Campus Cleanups, Nursing Home and Emergency Services Card Making, etc. We strive to embody the aforementioned Cardinal Principles in all that we do in order to help others, build lifelong friendships, and develop ourselves as professional individuals. Black women in sports have historically faced double discrimination due to their gender and race. A number of Black female athletes have emerged as trailblazers in their particular sports over the years, from track and field and tennis to figure skating and basketball. Unfortunately, these women and their accomplishments are largely forgotten or ignored. This presentation will highlight some of their unique contributions to sports and the struggles they had to overcome on the road to victory. Join in at 6pm on February 28th in Johnson Hall Room 103. Are you interested in Co-op? Need to find out how YOU can be Co-op eligible? Attend this Co-op Meetup on Thursday, Feb. 24, in Clement Hall 212 at 11 a.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup.

The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students.  Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step!  The new eligibility guidelines can be found at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/coop-eligibility.php.
