The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students. Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step! Have you ever had to do a group project with people who just don’t seem to understand you? Or struggled to make yourself and your opinions heard? Do you want to learn a skill that will make working on a team easier? Then the Effective Communication workshop is for you!
This session will help you with group projects, networking events, and help prepare for this year’s Eagle Works competition. Learn the different types of communication styles and how to work effectively as a team.
The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. All week February 7th through 11th, Tau Beta Pi is selling Valentine’s Day candy to do something sweet for a local charity! Come by Prescott Hall 106 any time between 9:00AM and 1:00PM all week or stop by our table in front of Volpe Library Wednesday, February 9th at 5:00PM. Candy will be $1, and half of all proceeds will go to the charity voted on by the most people!

Beginners’ French Conversation Hour will meet on Thursday, February 10, from 11-11:45 in Oakley 214. This is a great chance to practice what you’ve learned in class in a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere. This conversation hour is hosted by students, not professors.

The Tennessee Tech Professional and Technical Communications Club will be hosting a competition to see who can create the best logo. Anyone of any major is able to participate, and a prize will be awarded to the creator of the chosen logo. Participants can find the guidelines for the competition on the social media page, found at https://www.instagram.com/tntechptc/. Please follow our Instagram, and watch there for posts regarding the logo competition. Once a winner is chosen, the logo will be posted on social media and will become the new profile picture for the club. Join us for the annual build a bear presented by the SGA SOLO fund at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8 in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose room. Current students can receive one animal and must show a valid eagle card to receive the item. This event is free to the first 500 students and there is a limit of one animal per student.
