    Veterans Day Ceremony 2023

    The Military and Veteran Affairs department at Tennessee Tech would like to invite you to this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony.

    The ceremony to commemorate that day will be held on Tuesday, November 7 at 11am on the Main Quad in front of the Jere Whitson Building. The event will feature speakers such as President Phillip Oldham and MG (Ret) Edward F. Dorman III, as well as performances by the Brass Arts Quintet, a cannon salute, and others.

    Please join us for this solemn ceremony to honor all who served. A reception will follow. All are welcome.

    Did you interview for or accept a Co-op position at the Employer Expo in September? Need to find out if you are on-track to be Co-op Eligible? Co-op Meetup #4 is on Thursday, November 2, in Roaden University Center Tech Pride Room beginning at 11 a.m. New guidelines, which went into effect Fall 2022 for engineering student enrollment, will be shared.

    Join the Center for Career Development on Thursday, November 2, beginning at 11 am in Clement Hall 212 for this Gold Career Readiness PART TWO Workshop! This workshop will feature Regions Bank, who will provide insight regarding how to create a successful budget while in college!

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts toward Part Two of the Gold Career Readiness application for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card with you to receive credit for attendance.

    NOTE: This event does not count toward Gold Career Readiness Workshop attendance in Part Three.

    Center Stage Call for Submissions

    Center Stage is accepting proposals for the 2024-2025 school year. The program presents guest lectures, concerts, exhibits, readings, dramatic performances, etc. that promote greater appreciation of fine arts and seeks to connect students with a better understanding of diverse ideas and world cultures.

    The series is developed a year in advance from proposals submitted by full-time employees of the Tennessee Tech campus community, in conjunction with a student representative, who offer to serve as Campus Hosts. The proposals are determined by the Policy and Oversight Committee (POC).

    The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2023. Proposals can be submitted using the online form. Go to www.tntech.edu/centerstage or email Anne Thurmond at athurmond@tntech.edu for more information.
