The Golden Eagle softball team is celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on Wednesday, March 29th with one of their biggest fans. Conner Staggs will be throwing the first pitch before TTU takes on Bellarmine at 3:00pm at Tech Softball Field. Come out and support and wear your crazy socks! Admission is FREE! COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Join the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team on Sunday, March 12, at Midtown Social (565 South Jefferson Avenue) for the Golden Eagles’ Selection Show Watch Party.

Doors open and a celebratory line-up will be held at 5:30 p.m., while the selection show will begin at 7 p.m.

Music will be performed at the event by DJ $even Productions.

Championship T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the event, then will be available through the Eblen Center ticket office or through TTUsports.com.

It is the first trip for the Golden Eagles to the NCAA Tournament since the 1999-2000 season and 11th overall. Tech earned the Ohio Valley Conference’s automatic bid after defeating Little Rock 54-46 in the OVC Basketball Championships on Saturday in Evansville, Ind.

On Thursday, February 9th the Golden Eagles will take on Southern Indiana. The men’s game will be nationally televised on ESPNU!

The Class of 2026 is invited and encouraged to take part in one of Tennessee Tech Athletics’ greatest traditions of the past decade, the annual Running of the Freshmen.

Each year, at the first home football game, TTU President Phil Oldham leads the charge of all freshmen students onto the field prior to kick-off, paving the way for the Golden Eagle football team. The tradition began just prior to the first football game of the 2013 season with the first-ever Running of the Freshmen.

The University’s incoming freshmen are invited to join in the event Saturday, Sept. 10, joining President Oldham in ushering the 2022 Golden Eagle football team onto the field prior to kickoff for the home opener against Texas A&M-Commerce. The freshmen – Tennessee Tech’s class of 2026 – will assemble inside the northeast corner of the stadium at Gate 12 for the run by 5:20 p.m. CT. A limited number of free t-shirts will be available as well. Freshmen are encouraged to show up as early as possible to secure their free t-shirt.
