  • Professional Privilege Tax 2024

    Under TCA 67-4-1709, the professional privilege tax is due June 1 each year for individuals actively licensed or registered to practice in Tennessee for the following professions:

    Attorney
    Agent(Securities)
    Broker-Dealer
    Investment Adviser
    Lobbyist

    For those so licensed, Tennessee Tech University will remit this for you. The amount of tax will be included as additional compensation on each affected employee’s W-2. If you are registered or licensed to practice in more than one of the following professions, you are only required to pay the $400 tax once per year.

    Please provide the names and professions of anyone in your area of responsibility to me at dagee@tntech.edu or Jenni Roberts at jaroberts@tntech.edu at your earliest convenience, but not later than May 17, 2024. I will compile a master list to transmit to the State.

  • Human Resources Office Closure

    Human Resources (Derryberry 146) will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, May 8th from 10am – 2pm to facilitate our Employee Celebration event on Centennial Plaza and in the Tech Pride Room.  We hope to see you there for non-work-related fun!

    It is that time of year again. Nominations are currently being accepted for the Outstanding Clerical & Support Staff Awards and the Outstanding Professional Award. Awards are based on job performance, attitude toward University constituencies, commitment and service to the University, professional development, and suggestions for program improvements. Any member of the Tennessee Tech community can submit a nomination (faculty, staff, or students). Please click here for more information or to make a nomination.   • Current Estimate & Budget Training

    Current Estimate budget revisions are due to the Budget Office by March 8th. All academic units should submit budget revisions to the Provost’s Office by March 1st. All non-academic units should have budget revisions submitted by March 1st to the proper VP for signatures.
