Looking for help understanding presentations? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 2/17, we will lead a dead hour workshop on Effective Presentations. We will talk about how to structure, format, and present to an audience. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 216A, from 11:00-11:50. No registration required, and all are welcome. IDEA Course Evaluation Report Session with IARE – February 20
Get the most out of your course evaluation reports. The Office of Institutional Assessment, Research, & Effectiveness (IARE) will be hosting a session on interpreting your IDEA course evaluation reports. This session will review the components for the IDEA report and the types of scores and comparisons provided in the report. Instructors will gain a greater understanding of how the SLOs selected for their courses impact the summary evaluation score and the five key questions that IDEA course evaluations seek to answer. Join us for this online training session on Friday, February 20, at 11AM.

ECE Guest Speaker Jensie Trail
On Thursday, September 29th at 11 AM in Brown 307, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) will be hosting guest speaker Jensie Trail and Cameron Liner. Jensie Trail, along with Cameron Liner, will be discussing their expertise and general ECE/professional advice. Jensie is a Controls Engineer working in the Space and Defense Industry at the Arnold Air Force Base here in Tennessee. Food will be provided.

NIFA Deadline January 9
Non-instructional faculty assignments (NIFA) are designed to contribute to the professional growth of faculty, improve teaching and curriculum across the University, and/or enhance scholarship and academic excellence of Tennessee Tech. NIFA proposals are due to department chairs/directors by January 9, 2026. Applicants are responsible for submitting proposals to Academic Affairs by January 23, 2025. Fall 2025 Important End of Semester Information
As we wrap up the end of another wonderful semester and prepare for holiday festivities, please keep the following in mind:
The last day of Fall 2025 classes is Friday, December 5th.
The Registrar’s Office will be closed for processing end of term grades the week of December 15 – 19.
All grades are due on Monday, December 15 at 10:00 am. Grades, GPA, and academic standing will be finalized approximately Friday, December 19th. You will receive another notice as soon as those items are final!
Transcript processing and enrollment verifications will pause the week of December 15-19 until all grades, GPA, and academic standing are finalized.
Degrees will be awarded the week after December 15-19.
