The department of Counseling and Psychology is proud to announce that our counseling programs received accreditation decisions from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). All three graduate counseling programs, Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A. degree), School Counseling (M.A. degree), Counseling and Supervision (Ph.D. degree), were accredited for a full eight years (with retroactive accreditation for all School Counseling and Ph.D. program graduates since January 2022). This recognition highlights the commitment to providing exceptional education and training for future counselors, supervisors, and educators.

The Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi at the Food-Energy-Water (FEW) Nexus NRT program is accepting fellowship applications for the Fall 2024 semester.  Students in this program will have an opportunity to work on FEW research challenges in rural, Appalachian, and indigenous communities.

We are accepting master’s and PhD students for the Fall 2024 semester from various STEM disciplines. Fellowships include tuition, fees, and a $34k annual stipend. Do you struggle with grammar in your writing? Looking for some ways to improve beyond just diagramming sentences or memorizing rules? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Thursday, 2/29, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on basic grammar strategies. We can talk about common issues and how to learn to edit your own work. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 216A, from 11:00-11:50. No registration is required, and all are welcome.  If you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session with one of our consultants. For availability and scheduling, check out our website.
