    ACS Spirit Night at Panda Express Oct 23

    Help support the Student Members of the American Chemical Society by attending the spirit night fundraiser at Panda Express (1020 S Walnut Ave) on Friday, Oct. 23 from 4 – 10 p.m. A portion of the night’s profits will be donated to the chapter and will be used for campus and community outreach activities.     Eagle’s Flight Event

    Come hear Ms. Kate Nicewicz, the Director of the MBA program, speak on the importance of travelling and intercultural awareness. She will also talk about trips taken by students in the International Experience course in the MBA program. This event will take place on October 22nd from 11 to 12 (dead hour) in Johnson Hall room 304. Boxed lunches will be provided. This event is sponsored by Eagle’s Flight.     Join the Peer Empowerment Program (PEP) in raising awareness of domestic violence TODAY (October 22) by participating in National #WearPurpleDay. Take a picture of you in your purple and post it to your Instagram story. Tag @PEPTNTech with the hashtags #WearPurpleDay and #DVAM for a chance to win some PEP merch!

    Last Day to Register for the Golden Helix 5K

    Today is the last day to register (October 23rd @6:00pm)! Support the research and outreach activities of the TN Tech Chemistry and Biochemistry student organizations! ASBMB is hosting the Golden Helix 5K, and this annual race is a little different this year. Participants are able to complete the 5k from Oct. 24th-Nov. 7th, 2020.     ***POSTPONED*** The Careers n’ Coffee featuring Green Dot Public Schools originally scheduled for this Thursday, Oct. 22 has been postponed to next Thursday, Oct. 29.  The event will still take place in T.J. Farr Lobby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    2020 Holiday Payroll Deadlines

    Please observe the following deadlines during the upcoming holiday season.

    November Deadlines

      • Extra Pay timesheets are due by 4:30 PM, Wednesday, November 4

     

      • October leave reports are due by Tuesday, November 3 (Approvals due Friday, November 6)

     

      • The deadline for receipt of any payroll changes normally due by the 15th is 4:30 PM on Monday, November 9

     

      November payroll is on Monday, November 30

    December Deadlines

      • Student/Temp payroll reports are due by 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 1

     

      • December Student and Temp payroll is on Thursday, December 10

     

      • Extra Pay timesheets are due by 4:30 PM on Thursday, December 3

     

      • November leave reports are due by Wednesday, December 2 (Approvals due Monday, December 7)

     

      • All other payroll items normally due on the 15th are due on Monday, December 7

     

      • December monthly payroll is on Wednesday, December 23

    Any checks not picked up will be mailed at 3:30 on December 23

    January Deadlines

      Timesheets for work done in December by student and temporary hourly employees may be approved as soon as December work is finished. Any times not approved before the holiday break will be due by 11:00 AM on January 4, 2021.
