There will be a test of the Weather Alert System across campus on Wednesday, 23 December between 11:00am-12:00 The test will trigger respective strobe and audible alarms in facilities across the campus for a short duration in order to ensure systems are active by the National Weather Service’s Weather Alert System. You may have noticed a miniature model of the solar system in front of Au Bon Pain in the Volpe Library. The sun in that model is serving as the scale model sun in our campus-wide (and further) scale model of the solar system! Due to restrictions this year, we did not place the scaled planets on campus, but instead, have created a video about where they would be. Take a break from studying and take a walk around campus to visit the locations presented in the video. We in Astronomy 1010 hope you enjoy it!
