    Join us for a virtual recruiting event via Zoom with Huntsville employers! ASmartPlace on the Road to Tennessee Tech is a virtual meet and greet connecting students with employers. ASmartPlace representative Katelyn Sides Baker will speak about what it is like to live, work, & play in the Rocket City. Afterwards, 15-20 Huntsville employers will speak to you about their company and what roles they are seeking to fill.

    Employers are seeking individuals for internships, co-op’s and even full-time positions. Students that attend the virtual session will be given a sheet at the end of the event with contact information for each of the participating employers.

    Five May 2020 TN Tech Graduates Earn the I&E Certificate

    Congratulations to students Jordan Barnett (Nursing, Erin Guenther (Nursing), Shelley Edwards (Chemical Engineering), Cody Bowerman (Chemical Engineering), and Amy Tribble (Nursing) for earning the Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Certificate. The I&E certificate is an interdisciplinary program of study focused on providing each student with the opportunity to develop innovation and entrepreneurship skills through problem solving, creativity, working with a team, and practicing effective strategies for meeting needs within the increasingly competitive global marketplace. As Dr. Melissa Geist states, “Earning the I &E Certificate is a testament to the students’ dedication during their academic careers here at Tech. By immersing in the I&E ecosystem, they leave Tech with the traits employers want.     The STEM Center’s mission continues to directly align with Rural Reimagined, as they successfully provide our rural communities with access to STEM education through their lending library, field trips, the Science & Engineering Fair, the STEMobile, educator workshops, and outreach events; and, they continue to provide interactive activities during challenging times of remote learning. Director Darek Potter states, “As a STEM infused university, it is essential that we continue to provide access to high quality learning experiences for students in our regional communities. We are excited about the current resources and programs that are being developed by our team each week to support students, teachers, and parents as they navigate the current challenges associated with distance learning.   • New Vehicle Rental Agreement with Enterprise Rent-a-Car

    Central Procurement completed a competitive bid for vehicle rentals this spring, and the statewide contract was awarded once again to Enterprise Rent A Car (Enterprise Holdings Inc.).  Faculty and staff should continue to rent vehicles through Enterprise using the existing Tennessee Tech process.  For any Enterprise vehicle rentals that took place May 20, 2020, or later, please process payments against the new Eagle Buy contract number BL202000205.  Contact Donna Wallis, Purchasing and Contracts, dwallis@tntech.edu with any questions.

  • Year End Receivables – Due by 6/30

    Please ensure information for all accounts receivable billings are be prepared and forwarded to the Business Office as early as possible to facilitate collection by June 30. A notation will be made on these billings regarding the necessity of payment being received by June 30, 2020. A listing of all accounts receivable remaining outstanding as of June 30, 2020 should be submitted to the Business Office by 4:30 p.m., June 30, 2020. Please contact the Business Office with any questions on information to submit for receivables.

  • Adjunct Deadlines for Summer School

    Adjuncts who are teaching summer school will need to sign their contracts for first term and/or full summer term by June 12 in order to receive pay on July 2.  Adjuncts who are teaching second term only will need to have their contracts signed by July 20 in order to receive pay on Aug. 7.  Anyone who misses the first term deadline will receive pay Aug. 7 as long as their contract is signed by July 20.
