A very interesting feature of the Apollo program was its collaboration with geoscience, including the training of Apollo astronauts in geology. This synergy continues today, supporting our return to the moon via the Artemis mission. This Friday’s seminar will feature talks from TTU Geosciences graduate student Mary Adepoju and Geoscience/Computer Science major Tony Lamantia. Both Mary and Tony perform geoscience research that directly supports the Artemis Initiative. Titles and abstracts for the talks can be found here. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are encouraged to attend!
