On July 12,2025, the Tennessee Tech University Police Department conducted a comprehensive active aggressor training exercise on campus as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing campus safety and preparedness. Security officers from Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) were invited to participate in a joint training exercise to enhance interagency coordination and response capabilities in the event of an active threat. The scenario-based training emphasized rapid response tactics, communication, and collaboration among first responders. Officers engaged in hands-on drills designed to simulate real-world conditions and reinforce best practices for protecting lives during high-stress situations.

“Our top priority is the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors,” said Chief of Police Fred Nichols.
