Native American History Month Events

All are welcome to join us for the upcoming Native American History Month events! Intercultural Affairs and Center Stage along with Dr. Sabrina Buer, Sayota Knight, Richard Moles, and Dr. Troy Smith are hosting events November 1st – November 9th in honor of the legacy, history and contributions of the Indigenous and Native people. .

Annual Exhibition and Campus Conversation Lunch – Wednesday, November 1st , 11am-12 pm, RUC Multipurpose Room. Come hear from some of our campus members, listen to some Native music, see an amazing exhibition showcasing items of Native culture, and enjoy a wonderful Native American meal!

Student Presentations – Reflections on Community Immersion – Tuesday, November 7th, 11 am – 12 pm, RUC Tech Pride Room. Graduate students from the NSF NRT Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi will share their experiences.

Annual First Nations Circle of Music – Thursday, November 9th , 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Bryan Fine Arts Wattenbarger Auditorium. This event is sponsored by Center Stage and will showcase several tribes from across the country in an engaging and enlightening presentation of dances, songs, and native dress.
