Joshua Leonard: The Art of Diversity

Join Intercultural Affairs and the School of Art, Craft & Design as they host Illustrator Joshua Leonard on Monday, October 16 at 6 pm in Derryberry Auditorium.

Joshua Leonard is an illustrator, concept artist, character designer, and traditional 2D animator, specializing in creating compelling, inclusive, and diverse characters that are often underrepresented while also creating relatable stories. His focus on disabilities, neurodiversity, and representation has had a significant positive impact on youth around the world. He graduated top of his class from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a 4.0 GPA and a degree in Media Arts & Animation.

He’s done illustration work for major companies including Netflix, Nickelodeon, Sony Immersive, Jim Henson Company, Hillman Grad Productions, 9 Story, Baobab Studios, and Disney. His greatest work is his creation, Team Supreme, which is about a group of young superheroes who each have intellectual or physical disabilities that are their superpowers.
