“Comp-Eat”: Brooks Burr Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Wood
Come play ping pong on a one-of-a-kind, handmade ping pong table designed and built by senior thesis student Brooks Burr!
Woodworking student Brooks Burr showcases his innovative exhibition, “Comp-eat,” featuring a versatile ping pong table that can be reconfigured into a dining room table when the netting is removed. The exhibition will open on Nov. 22 and run until Dec. 5. It is located at 1560 Craft Center Dr. in Smithville, TN in the Joe L. Evans Gallery.
Visitors are encouraged to interact with the exhibition piece during the reception on December 2, from noon – 3pm!
“Comp-eat” is a testament to the ingenuity and skills Burr has learned in his years at the Appalachian Center for Craft. The exhibition is sure to inspire viewers to think outside the box and appreciate the beauty of functional design.
