This week in the Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar, physics major Kaitlyn Kidwell will present on her work studying a potential background in experiments that search for neutrinoless double beta decay in germanium. In her talk Neutron Inelastic Scattering of 76Ge Coincidence Analysis, Kaitlyn will describe the experiment she conducted this summer on the Duke University campus at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory and her ongoing work analyzing the resulting coincidence gamma ray spectra. The seminar will be this Friday, November 5th at 4pm in Volpe Library 248. It will be geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend! Visit the seminar webpage for more information and the current schedule of upcoming talks.
