Faculty Success Story: Dr. Mike Gotcher Receives Grant to Provide Free Wifi Access to Rural Students
Rural Reimagined recognizes Dr. Mike Gotcher for his recent success in receiving a grant to provide 200 TN Tech students in rural counties with free, unlimited Wifi access. Students living in rural areas frequently struggle to establish much needed Wifi access needed to complete assignments, attend Zoom lectures, or be able to download course content. The grant will go a long way in helping students meet their educational needs. Dean Gotcher states, “We wanted to address the digital divide and help students succeed academically. The grant provides a much-needed resource for our students.” Interested students can contact Dylcia Cowan at dcowan@tntech.edu to obtain the form needed to receive hot spots.
